Easter Lunch (with kids)

MaryGeeJay Mar 14, 2013 11:17 AM

My husband and I just relocated to the bay area (Mountain View)with our baby and toddler. I'd like to plan something fun for Easter. In my head, I picture us having a leisurely outdoor lunch somewhere gorgeous and delicious while our toddler runs around next to us outside. We're willing to drive up to two hours. Does such a place (that would be open on Easter) exist? Thanks in advance!

I am assuming that with a baby & toddler, you want reservations.

Mayfield Cafe in Town & Country Palo Alto. Howie's Pizza (upscale) also in T&C but doesn't take reservations. Madera terrace at Rosewood Hotel in Menlo Park...expensive but gorgeous. Lounge terrace is first come first serve. Please keep in mind these places are busy on any given Sunday.

Out of left field...not gorgeous but pretty, leisurely and kid friendly, Crepes Cafe in Menlo Park. No reservations, call to make sure they're open Easter. Cascal in Mountain View.

Just remembered Corkscrew Cafe in Carmel Valley. Plenty of outdoor seating, lovely gardens all set in a very rustic environment. Must order onion rings. Time we went, standout dish was shrimp stuffed poblanos.
