Does anyone have any details on the new restaurant that is moving into the building previously occupied by a bank on rt 79/Ryan Rd. in Marlboro? thanks.

Looks like to should be officially open for business soon. There are no grand opening signs posted yet. But my husband indicated there were people dining al fresco a few nights ago, And yes, really... another Italian restaurant in NJ... groundbreaking.

There were about four tables dining al fresco last night- when we asked about a table outside, the hostess said they were expecting a large party and there'd be no room outside. We were there for about an hour and a half....no large party showed up outside...

Sounds like typical Marlboro. Go to Solo in Freehold Boro instead. Small, but nice atmosphere and good food without the Marlboro obnoxiousness.

In all seriousness, we said the table next to us sounded like "housewives of Marlboro" and the large extra loud table sounded and looked like "housewives of New Jersey".

This is not to say that it wasn't a nice crowd, which it was...it was just that some people looked and sounded like they were a TV show.

That's hilarious! I think I will avoid the place for a bit. Portofino in Tinton Falls is very good (albeit pricey).

It's a shame because Portofino's is a good restaurant, but the downstairs is too "tight" for my comfort. I stopped going years ago for that reason.

Since it seems some of the NJ Housewives (and husband) are going to be going on "vacation" pretty soon, perhaps there will be more room here in the future!

Cute...but somehow, even if some of the housewives and her spouse go away...there's always the relatives to deal with!
