Upscale in Chinatown?

A friend asked if I knew of any "upscale" places in Chinatown to take a few out of towners. I don't, I just know the regular casual cheapish places. Any suggestions?

Oriental Garden or even Congee Village

Oriental Garden, Fuleen Seafood. Peking Duck House can be fun, too, though it's been awhile since I've been. The atmosphere may not be "upscale" as compared to, say, a Midtown French place, but those are a couple of the fancier places in terms of level of cuisine and price.

I wouldn't recommend Buddakan to anyone, frankly, except perhaps to a drunken bachelorette party from Jersey.

I like Oriental Garden, I think that's the winner! Thank you!

It's only upscale in comparison to other places in Chinatown, but Peking Duck House is always a fun old school time, and the duck is fantastic.

Does it have to be in Chinatown?

Ideally - I recommended budokkan as an alternative to CT. (Never ate there though, but a lot of folks seem to like it). Thanks!
