The old Raby's site (near Bamiyan) is being transformed into an "Afghan Grill"...too bad Raby's went downhill so fast...they did have some yummy food when they started out...

Also the old Burger King site next door is going to be "Trendee Chinese Food"

Sad to hear of closing, coming from the far North- West, several visits great, take out to a Toronto relative visit ---- My impression simply too large premises for a cliemtal, not ready to run to the cuisine! Baniyan has been excelllent, but within the week first visit to a larger Airport area Baniyan, just not as good food, wow!

Just saw this yesterday, looks like it's already opened. Raby's closing down is sad, they went downhill so it was deserved.

That place was a favourite of mine a couple years ago.

I think this neighbourhood can wear a person down. If you take pride in what you do and serve a good product, you'll still be confronted by swarms of people who want you to be a Thai/Chinese/Indian/Pizza/hamburger place. That said, my advice to any restaurant owner out this way is stick to what you love. Raby's should have stuck to Pakistani foods and dropped everything else. That's clearly where their heart was.

I must admit there was lots of menu confusion towards the end. Didn't know what the heck it was.

Too bad, their food was good and it was a nice clean place in which to eat. Not a dump.

        That's sad. They did.
