Sounds interesting, but do any of these even claim to be kosher? (This IS the kosher board, after all.)

Only 2 or 3. Another reason for me to start hosting -- get more of a kosher presence out there :).

It does look interesting -- but $46 ($, not ₪) for a bowl of kibbe soup, veggies & dessert?
Think I should try the hosting biz myself ... except my Israeli style living room only holds about 6 people.

I have to say, almond tree, I was thinking of you when I saw this. Obviously if you live in israel, then seeking out such an event isn't so special - and given that most of the options don't involve any alcohol in the price, they are quite pricey. But it'd be interesting to see how such an experience would be for a tourist.

Maybe we'll go into business together :)

Haha - I know a lot of people in Israel that are part of different couch surfing networks as well as AirBnB - so this being present in Israel definitely doesn't surprise me.
