Niagara Falls eats with kids?

Hi all,

Spending one night at Great Wolf Lodge with the kids. Any suggestions for a good casual dinner nearby? The dining options at GWL do not seem that great. Kids are good eaters and will eat all types of food (note we would be looking to eat @ 6 pm).

  1. One time on a day tryp back from the States (a great beer and booty haul!) we stopped at this place:

He is originally from around St. Catharines and this place is incredibly good value for the quality.

I mean, fish & chips is definitely a "value" food but... yeah, give it a try.

    1. Pho Vietnam 999 at Montrose and Thorold Stone Road in Niagara Falls is quite good and very family friendly.

If you want pizza, Antica in Niagara Falls gets good reviews.

Johnny Rocco's has two locations and is a good family restaurant. Huge menu. I've only been to the one in St. Catharines, which is in a lovely old mill building. I'm guessing the one in Niagara Falls is probably a bit cheesier.

If you go to Antica have low expectations.... It isn't good in my books compared to Toronto Italian food... The gnocchi that they show on their menu as a speciality was pretty bad.. full of water/bad texture. Sauce wasn't that great either.

Also ordered the Margherita pizza that used mediocre mozzarella and dried basil.

Again, I went there based on CH and Yelp, etc recommendations so maybe my expectations were too high or maybe it was an off night. I did enjoy the rice balls though.

Yeah, I haven't been to Antica, and have just been going on word of mouth.

I have been to both Johnny Rocco's and Pho Vietnam, though, and they are both totally passable for a casual dinner out.
