Local source for Chicago-style hotdog fixin's?

Does anyone know where I can find locally some of the key ingredients for making Chicago-style hotdogs? Specifically, the poppy seed buns (S. Rosen would be great, but anything close would be fine) and the "sport" peppers (although I must admit I like some good giardinera on my dogs as a substitute). I already have the natural casing dogs, from Karl's. After spending a few years in Chicago, I must admit that they have really mastered the Hot Dog Arts.

Gremolata, you're right - there's no dog better! If you're closer to the south shore, Windy City Eats in Weymouth or Norwell has what you're looking for. If it's easier to get to Natick, Spalla's has it. Culinary Delights is the name of the store that sells Spalla's food, SLL1065's post below has the website.

How about real Chicago dogs instead?

Spalla's in Natick has them... the rolls and dogs (Vienna brand, I think) are shipped in from Chicago. They also have Chicago Italian Roast Beef sandwiches.

The family that owns/runs it is from Chicago, so the food is the real deal, not a gimmick as in "Chicago-style."

This is exactly what Windy City Eats and Windy City Dogs & More does.

Don't forget to get some neon green food coloring for your relish.

I think it was Grady who told me the key is blue dye #1, not green food coloring, to get that really neon green color.

I've bought everything from Grady at Windy City Eats in Weymouth.
He now has a new spot, Windy City Dogs & More in Norwell. He may have sold the Weymouth place, since the websites don't reference eachother at all...not sure what's going on with that, but Grady is at the very least, now in Norwell.

Is Grady from Chicago? I am really excited for this recommendation. I just went on the website and saw the beautiful Vienna Beef logo. I also saw they have Italian Beef which I miss. It's a little too far for me to go regularly, but I will find my way there soon. Anything they do especially well?

I saw Grady's wife Sen at Windy City Eats when I was there in December and the menu's are identical. Just sounds like he's expanding which is good news for Chicago ex-pats.

Yes, they are still affiliated. We get all out fixings from him too.
