  1. Another good premise that will more than likely be shot to hell the first five minutes of airing. Wish these dipsticks could get it right, but I have no faith.

Can it be as bad as the Taste? hmmm....

Tase was a good idea too, is it coming back? maybe it can be fixed

and of course I will both shows out ;)

Hahah. Tased would be a show like Chopped but where the losing chef is tased by the judges.

Extra incentive to win? Perhaps you lose a finger if your dish is chopped?

    2. I keep picturing John Belushi in that cafeteria scene from Animal House.

      1. there was a show on GSN called Beat The Chefs.
home cooking team - mom and daughters, school lunch ladies etc - present their best recipe - mealoaf, spaghetti, etc. etc. and the professional chefs cook the same dish using their own recipe. winners are judged by famous food people, blind tasting. it was a fun show. and no, the home cooks did not always win.

Interesting - haven't seen that show, is it still on the air?
Antonia from Top Chef is one of the pro's.

wow. that is quite a press release from eater. i just happened to stumble upon it while channel surfing. chitchat on the GSN message boards hint that the show may return in november. apparently GSN is quick to yank shows that are not performing. the majority of the posters seemed to like the show.
here's the link if you're interested in GSN gamer viewpoints.
btw, didn't GSN become the Esquire network now?

        2. So it's Chopped, The Taste and Iron Chef all rolled into one.

I say more Throwdown with Bobby Flay - except that it's with amateur cooks and not just vs Bobby Flay.

From my memory of watching a few episodes of Throwdown, that show was never super engaging.

          2. I'll try this one out.
I am searching for a show that will be more about the food like Chopped and Iron Chef are.
