Good restos near Carlsbad

Hi there,

I have visited Carlsbad 2 times and have been a bit disappointed with the restaurant selection--we've tried Pelly's, Vigilucci's, Don's Country Kitchen, the Waffle Truck, Yoshino (love but not too many kid friendly options), Aremenian Cafe, etc. So we seek other restaurants that are NEAR Carlsbad. We love good food, but don't want to travel too far from Carlsbad as we'll have 2 kids (2 & 4) with us. Please help!!! Thanks so much.

We were pleasantly surprised by Bellefleur in the Carlsbad Outlet center (with both a La Creuset and Crate and Barrel to peruse afterwards). Nearby, Tip Top Market has super-filling breakfasts and lunches, not fancy, but certainly hearty, and a great butcher counter for shopping after noshing. And, for burgers, there's The Counter in the Forum shopping center. (We need food to sustain our shopping habits!)
