Seafood Rustic Inn, Hollywood

Saw a rave review on a blog about this place-- any CH folks been there? Menu looks mouth-watering!

  1. LOve it, just bring your earplugs with a couple of hundred people smashing golden and dungeness crabs. Also don't miss out on their conch chowder!

    1. yeah it's very good. Very messy and fun, from the smashing to the sauce they come in. Fortunately bibs and wipeys included in the price. The rest of the food wasn't bad either but you go to smash crabs

      1. For me Rustic Inn is like stepping back to the 70's into a crab shack a la Florida. Other than the fresh local golden crabs and the garlic crabs the menu is still very much a step back in time. That said, those two menu items alone are most certainly worth a visit if you are a crab fan.

I also have a confession to make: I used to have lunch there every other week or so and I almost always ordered the "fried clams". Truth be told I still think said clams were actually squid strips but what the heck? They may not be whole belly Ipswitch clams but they tasted good to me! Hmm...come to think of it, I may have to find a reason to be back in that neighborhood around lunchtime one day soon.

          1. The conch chowder is the worst I've ever had.
