Brewing beer, curing meat, or making cheese?

Table 31

Hi all,

I use Chowhound a lot when I'm looking to find a new restaurant or to find just the right place appropriate to the occasion. I always mean to return and review my experiences, but I never seem to get to it.

Guess I'm being true to the cliches that negative feedback is spread a lot faster than even outstandingly positive experiences.

In any case, thanks to this board I've had fantastic meals at Matyson BYOB and Fond.

Last night, I took my mom to Table 31 at the Comcast Center. Long story short, below average, over-priced food. Had the Delmonico steak -- ehh. Ordered MR, got MW. The mussels were actually really good. Surprisingly good. But the service -- unprofessional, slow, and not particularly courteous. Especially at that price level. And the music really inappropriate for ANY restaurant.

I'll try to be more attentive about sharing my experiences on Chowhound -- if it's helpful to anyone.

Thanks for all of your help though Chowhounders!

Thanks for the report, it echoes other reports I've heard.

    What was the music?

We had lunch at Table 31 yesterday, selected mostly for convenience, since we work upstairs. Everyone seemed to enjoy their food - I had the cavatelli with prosciutto and san marizano tomatos, which was delicious. We even had dessert, i found the molten chocolate cake ok, but not fantastic.
service was only meh - nothing fantastic.
