best plate of pasta with no reservation (on a saturday night)?

i'm craving a delicious plate of pasta (preferably homemade noodles). where can i get one on a saturday evening with no reservation? will travel anywhere in the city for a good dish. suggestions?

  1. I have a bias towards fresh extruded pasta's.
    I believe most would suggest la Quercia.

      la quercia definitely requires a reservation - several weeks in advance! any other thoughts?

        Get the tagliatelle w/pork ragu at Campagnolo. It's killer!

              There were a couple of favorable comments here. But they are closed.
              Consider nook as well.

                too bad. anyhow, ended up heading to la ghianda which stays open well into the evening (i had no idea). exactly what i wanted - plus, i have leftovers!

                  I love La Ghianda. Never had a bad plate of pasta there.

          1. Cant recommend yet because it hasnt even opened but thought I would just point out this little interesting development.

            Habit on main st will be closing and re-opening as an italian joint.

              Interesting. There is a dearth of Italian joints in these parts. Cipriano's wasn't up to snuff, IMHO.
