Shanti 2 in Roslindale, take out report

Ordered from here tonight, first off, the website was great. You can setup your to go or delivery orders from the site, and pay and even tip from the site, very cool. We got the Shanti sampler, which had various meat and veggie apps, all fresh, hot and delicious, with a standout being actually the dipping sauces, which were the 3 standard sauces, but fresh and clearly house made, very good.

Entrees were goat vindaloo, ordered spicy, and brother, it was spicy! And the lamb korma, which was creamy and lovely. Next time I'd do the sampler and one entree to split, as its a good amount of food. All in all a great experience, and a fine addition to the Roslindale neighborhood.

  1. Good news for Roslindale. I frequent the location in Dorchester and have never been disappointed; except maybe that they don't deliver to Quincy.

    1. So it's part of the Bukhara empire?

I don't think so, as Bukhara is so far down in quality compared to this, as I understand it, they have another Shanti in Dorcester, and as far as I know (and correct me if I'm wrong) they are not associated with Bukhara. Here's their website

I loved being able to order, tip and pay via the web and have it deliverd (quite quickly, and still very hot!!!!)

Thanks for the report and am looking forward to going. Had reservations last Friday but weather postponed this visit. Agree totally on bukhara. Yuck.

No. The owner only owns Shanti and Moksa (also used to own Om).

This has been my go to place in Dorchester for many years and I think Roslindale will enjoy them if they are any where near the quality of the Dorchester shanti. This and India Quality in Kenmore Square remain my two favorite Indian restaurants.

Thanks. I could have sworn Shanti and Bulhara's menus were exactly the same.
