Bialys and Pizza

Went to Olio yesterday for lunch, and noticed that they feature bialys made for you on the spot. So before ordering my favorite Margherita with garlic, I asked for a Bialy with a shmear of cream cheese, total cost $2.25. It was delicious. There is nothing like a bialy or bagel fresh out of the oven, and this one did not disappoint. So I ordered a half dozen to go for $8.00 and waited for my pie. When it came, as usual it did not disappoint, a perfect blend of crust, sauce and mozza, just what a good neo pie should be. And, contrary to that limp stuff that some of you rave about at that other place, which I call crap, when you hold the slice up, the tip does not drop.

  1. thanks for the reminder. still haven't had the bialy's here...

    1. yeah, Brad Kent makes a mean pizza! damn it, its been too long since ive been down his way...thanks for the reminder!

      1. Where in Ohio is this? Hopefully near Toledo?

        1. Nevermind, I see you said Olio, not Ohio.

          1. I haven't tried the bialies yet but will....i agree this is the best pizza in town, light years ahead of sotto (soggy mushy with side of snootery) and real pizza unlike mozza...all sorts of talk on this page about what neapolitan pizza is supposed to be but this is the only one ive had in town that is like it is there...thin, not doughy, holds together, cooks up in like 3 minutes in their wood oven... i like the fennel pepperoni, or just margherita...i also like the casual and quick approach of this location...great place to stop in an inhale a pie and beer.
