Holiday Valley/Ellicottville or on route there from the north?

Next week I am going to Ellicotville for the first time. Leaving from Niagara(Canada side) area on Tuesday morning with plans to get there around 11am ish. Any suggestions for a spot to eat on the way for breakfast? Or any interesting food related spots in general? I want to stop to grab some bitters at some point (Peychaud's isn't sold in Ontario readily). Are bitters sold in liquor stores down there? (We have some bitters in grocery stores up here).

  1. I recommend stopping for breakfast at Sophia's in North Buffalo. It's early into your trip (but so worth it), and I'll try to think of spots that are more equidistant between Niagara and Ellicottville.

Thanks for the post, will keep it in mind for the next time. We ended up running late so we went to Boston Market to grab some take out... I had never been there before and I thought it was decent for a "fast food" type of spot. Better value then a local restaurant chain that is similar (Swiss Chalet) and decent chicken (though, a bit too salty for my liking). Did manage to get to Premier Gourmet to pick up the bitters as well. On the way home we stopped at Wegmans at McKinley Mall... I wish we had a Wegmans in Canada!
