Hannaford had some lovely loose rhubarb yesterday, $2.49/lb, the same price as last year.
I got some nice rhubarb along with some reduced strawberries from Wilson Farm in Lexington about a week or so again. I'm pretty sure the rhubarb wasn't local, though. Maybe from Denmark? Anyway, it made a delicious crisp.
The rhubarb in my garden had just started to peek up out of the ground before today's snowfall. IIRC we can usually get some local stalks through our CSA in May.
Saw some at the Brookline winter farmers market last weekend.
