LuluTheMagnificent Mar 6, 2013 05:13 PM

Where are some good leisurely spots three-four people could go eat, get coffee and just chill and talk for about 2hrs or so? one friend is new in town from San Antoinio. Thanks

Muddy Leek has a wonderful and fun happy hour and you can sit around for hours and try funky appetizers, shared plates and local suds.

I think Rush street is open all day.

Kay & Dave's would be good for what you are talking about.

          I really like Public School.

You're the first hound I have seen post anything about that place. Can you elaborate on it a bit?

I've had short ribs, the shrimp and red quinoa salad, bacon cheddar tots and the cheese board. Everything was really good. They do craft cocktails well from what I can tell and they have a decent wine and scotch list. Service has usually been good, with one minor issue last time when it took awhile for someone to come by to take our order. But after that they were attentive. Like the vibe of the place, but it definitely gets crowded and loud (common theme these days for new places). There's outside seating but I've only ever been inside. The bar area has several communal tables. I find it a definite improvement over Fraiche and a good fit for the neighborhood.

Great, thanks! Appreciate it! Will give them a try next time I'm in that area.
