Chinese near Spadina and Dundas for the uninitiated

I'm thinking of inviting some friends for a REAL chinese meal as opposed to the neighbourhood mom and pop variety. So I assume it should be as clean and quiet as possible, have an English menu and preferably as much space between tables as possible. I can think of the Asian Legend as a place that is close to what I am looking for.

Any other suggestions?

House of Gourmet. Dundas north side just east of Spadina.

I've always been a fan of Taste of China, west side of Spadina, just south of St. Andrews. Sadly, their once amazing General Tso chicken just isn't the same anymore, but plenty of other great dishes to be had, be it something of the North American / Chinese variety or something a little more authentic. They can do it all!

        Lee Garden for Cantonese.
        Asian Legend for Northern Chinese.

        both are very "foreigner"-friendly.
