Anyone tried John Stetson Bourbon?

Just wondering if anyone has tried John Stetson Bourbon, a new brand. Looks like it sells for around $26-$27 a bottle. It has gotten some positive comments on a few blogs.

It's a good, young bourbon, sourced from Heaven Hill, but shrouded in marketing mystery. The parent company is based in New Jersey. The COLA says it's bottled in California. But they insist it was distilled in Kentucky.

The price makes it a reasonable buy, although there are better bourbons at or below that price point. If you like bourbon, you've probably made bigger purchasing mistakes. The lower proof is the biggest turn-off for me.

What proof is it? Any info on the time in barrel?

84 proof. So, it's a decent sip straight out the bottle. I believe it had 4 years in oak, but there's no age statement on the label.

Thanks. I'll keep an eye out for it, but since I can get EC 12 for $23, it'll have to be really cheap for me to try it.
