I'll be in Austin end of March... In fact, what is THE place to be/to eat in Austin ?

Sway is pretty trendy right now (and at dinner runs a 2 hour wait!). It's upscale/modern Thai and quite good in my opinion.

Not being from Austin, won't comment on where to "be seen" but for the sheer pleasure of an excellent dining experience....Barley Swine hands down. Reservations for early/late seatings available via e-mail. For party of two/three order one of everything, ask to sit at the bar if possible-service is absolutely superb, who needs white tablecloths anyway.

Not sure when Paul Qui's restaurant is opening, but I think it's somewhere toward the end of March. If it's open when you're here, I'd wager that it will be THE THE place to be/to eat then.
