In the Pojo today - Opening soon is Malasana, a wine and beer bar at 186 Union Street. The owners of Flan y Ajo are behind it.

Rollies in Downcity has closed. Not a surprise since it was in the accursed spot next to Cilantros on Weybosset St., but a disappointment nonetheless.

I'm always floored that something can't make it work across the street from J&W with what always appear to be tons of students hanging out there all the time. I wonder if it's an issue of too high rents, a wrong mix for the street, or both...

Iggy's in Narragansett re-opens March 1 for the season. They will be opened Wed - Sundays during the spring.
