      +1 for Gallery Grill

You may get more focused suggestions if you provide more info on what makes a great brunch for your mom to be.
Is location or budget a factor. Does she have a favorite brunch dish?

Agreed - does she lean towards more breakfasty brunch items or lunchy brunch items? Is she a fan of glitzy hotel buffet spreads or would she prefer a cozy booth with fluffy pancakes and crisp bacon?

+1 Agreed - I think of Dessert Trends (DT Bistro) for their very interesting lunchy, brunchy menu but not for any glitz or glamour.

thanks for the replies. Glitz not important and not fancy hotel buffet but nice ambience and great food - ideally a choice of more savoury breakfast stuff but also some 'sweet' choices.

Okay, so here are a few options: as Prima mentioned, Splendido is starting a brunch service on March 31st - if you (and the baby) can wait till then, that's probably a solid choice to hit all your criteria. Other options - Frank at the AGO, Cafe Belong, Gallery Grill (Sundays only), The Saint, Gilead Cafe (though I don't always love the service) and maybe L'ouvrier.

For good food, good service and a nice atmosphere, without hype, hipsters,line-ups or glitz, I like the brunch at Left Bank Bistro on Avenue Road south of Wilson.
John and Sons, just s of St Clair, in the old Terroni location, has some interesting seafood brunch dishes. I haven't had a chance to try it yet.
Le Select is also a nice place for a savoury brunch.

Splendido's brunch should be a contender. Their brunch service starts March 31st.
