Ciao Bob Mar 5, 2013 11:00 AM

Got a tip from a friend that these are the best in town. Anyone concur?

I suppose it depends on what you mean by "in town." The best moules frites (now called moules marinière on the menu) that I have had are at Marche Moderne at South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa.

I have had some good ones at Le Petit Restaurant in Sherman Oaks, at La Frite in Sherman Oaks, and at Le Petit Bistro on La Cienega in the Weho area.
But you can learn much by a place that does NOT prepare them properly, aka, not a good French restaurant.
Would think comme ca would also do them well, although I have never tried them there.

Comme Ca is one of my favs - lots of pernod and fennel - excellent!
