Cuisine d'Auvergne near Montparnasse?

cynthiaj Mar 4, 2013 03:47 PM

Years ago I had the best meal at a place I think was in the Montparnasse.area, that specialized in the cooking of Auvergne - does that ring a bell with anyone who knows Paris?

As I noted in your other topic regarding Paris. Follow this link

Then "Start a new discussion," just as you did on this board. Really, you'll get much better responses.

Move this thread to the France board?

I don't know how to get this to any particular board - sorry! However, Deluca's suggestion brought back the memory - the place I was thinking of was Maison du Cantal; I looked it up online and it has closed, so perhaps we'll try Plomb du Cantal. Thanks for the tip!

You're not talking about l'Ambassade d'Auvergne? It's great, but it's near the Marais on the right bank. There's a website. Here's the waiter with those divine potatoes whose name eludes me at the moment.

Max is correct as always, but my guess is Plomb du Cantal, it is still going strong.
