Strawberry Spinach

Anyone grown this before? I picked up some seeds the other day and was thinking about growing it in a planter so I could bring it inside

If you are referring to this variety, I want to mention that as a house plant or fruit plant in the garden strawberry spinach brings great color and ornamental interest but while edible it really is rough on the stomach and too much may have adverse reaction. I had a problem with this spinach. But ornament-really nice.

If your container is a couple of feet deep, you might be fine bringing it inside. I'm basing the theory on the info found here https://sites.google.com/site/knowyou... - it certainly couldn't hurt to try.

I had to look this up. It doesn't sound like something that can be brought inside because of the long tap root and it sounds like it gets quite large.

Thanks for asking. I've never heard of it and it does sound interesting and tasty.
