Anyone know if Haskap berries are available in the Lower Mainland yet? Saw a piece about them on The Nature of Things & we really want to try them.

Looking for information on how to get my hands on some Haskap Berries, they sound terrific! Live in Burnaby but we could travel pretty much around the Lower Mainland, if necessary.

  1. Farmers markets would be your best bet. And even so, I'm not sure how prevalent they are in the lower mainland. I've never seen them in retail settings. My neighbours grow them and they usually come around June-ish IIRC.

Many of the garden stores will sell the cross pollinating varieties if you are interested in growing your own. The only ones I've tasted are ones grown in private gardens.

I remember last season, even Superstore was clearing them out for super cheap (but they only sold one variety of plant.)

        1. We have Haskap berries for sale in the early spring.
We could ship fresh via Greyhound if you are interested.
