Andouille Sausage (South Suburb of Chicago)

Does anyone know where I can buy half way decent andouille sausage in the Blue Island area? I tried the Johnsonville brand and it tasted like a hot dog with cayenne pepper added.

I know it would be a bit of a drive for you but you can try Jim's Quality Meats in Darien. The andouille there is great. It is some of the best I have ever had. They usually have it fresh or frozen. http://darien-il.patch.com/articles/jims-quality-meats-a-cut-above
