Virgil's BBQ coming to Mohegan Sun

Well, we finally learned what happened to Big Bubba's at the Sun. It closed about 4 months ago, and was constantly packed. Virgil's BBQ of NYC and Atlantis fame is coming in, and will open sometime this spring. I believe they're owned by the same company as Carmine's in NYC. I just checked their menu and their prices are WAY higher than Bubba's. I just hope it's as good as Bubba's was.

Not sure when you saw Bubba's packed. I never saw more than a handful of tables in there. Maybe concert nights they were busy, but every time I've been there (and I go to Mohegan a lot) the place was dead.

I have been to Virgil's in NYC three times, and the first time I went I thought it was good; the next two times, years later, I was not impressed.

I've enjoyed my two meals at Dinosaur BBQ in Stamford more than my meals at Virgil's, and while I only ate there once, I enjoyed Bubba's as well.

I hope it's good, and that's too bad that the prices are going to be high. I think Mohegan needs more casual eateries. I'm not going to go to Johnny Rockets or Pepe's every time I go to Mohegan.

Though I do want to try the pho in the new Asian food court they have; has anyone been there yet?
