Passover fish market [Connecticut or Manhattan]

I want to make my own gefilte fish, but I want to get the fish, cleaned and fileted, and I want the head and bones for the stock. I've seen places that sell the fish pre ground, but I can't find a fish market that advertises as being kosher for passover.

  1. You want a place near my house or your house, because I know where I live

I'm sorry, I thought this board was all greater NYC area. I am in CT., but figuring I will need to go into New York.

The parameters of this board are confusing, we know! This board actually discusses Kosher restaurants that are located anywhere in the world, as well as issues and topics of interest to people following a Kosher diet. It's always a good idea to mention where you are located if you are looking for a local resource, so we'll edit that into your title.

    2. I think all kosher fish markets will become kosher for Passover at some time before the holiday. Ask your local kosher fish market. I would suggest freunds on 15th Avenue in Boro Park if you are coming specially into the city.

Thank you. I need a kosher fish store in Manhattan.

I don't think there are any kosher fish stores left in Manhattan.

I think I have found it, and they even deliver to CT for a price!

            Also, Park East Kosher:

Neither are fish markets, but they have what I am looking for.

Teaneck,N. J. has a good kosher fish store-

It is not that difficult to get Bergen County from Conneticut.
You might also want to check out stores in Monsey, N.Y. (Rockland County)
