Hen of the Wood

I paid my annual visit to Hen of the Wood on Saturday and found it to excellent once again. My friend the duck which he always orders and swears by. He proclaims it to be the best duck ever. I had the braised pork shoulder with pork belly and thought the flavors to be incredible. You Vermonters are lucky to have this restaurant in your midst.

  1. I've been there twice in the last week (friends and family visiting from out of town and it just worked that way) and agreed, it is a gem and we are lucky! Had the braised rabbit with gnocchi special the first day...the smoked hangar steak the second time. Each meal was amazing.

    1. Hen of the Wood was just reviewed in the Montreal Gazette and is planning on opening a second location in Burlington.
