Three days in Chicago next week

I will be in Chicago for three days next week and staying at the Hilton Garden Inn on Grand. I would love some restaurant ideas of fun places to eat near by. I was thinking of Ethnic, Contemporary American, Pizza and possibly a place with live music. I prefer a more casual vibe, and not too $$$$.

Ethnic - Frontera Grill for contemporary Mexican cuisine (arrive 15 minutes before they open the doors to avoid long waits to be seated), or Heaven on Seven on Rush, for cajun/creole - both only a couple of blocks from the hotel

Contemporary American - Sable, with delicious, affordable "small plates" and craft cocktails (don't miss the sweet corn creme brulee) - only a couple of blocks from the hotel; GT Fish & Oyster, with seafood in a small plates format and craft cocktails, is about 5 blocks west. Both accept reservations including on Opentable.

Pizza - The original Uno and Due are a couple of blocks away, or walk 6-7 blocks to Lou Malnati's on Wells or Pizano's on State

Live music - Andy's Jazz Club

Quick note regarding Purple Pig, recommended above - The reason it's good for late night (or mid-afternoon) dining is because they serve from the same menu all day, but they don't accept reservations. Waits to be seated are lengthy at other times; 120+ minutes are typical well into the evening, and even at lunch they get very busy. The food is very good but the waits are an issue to be aware of.

Fun places nearby include Siena Tavern, Slurping Turtle, and Quartino.
Live music nearby at House of Blues or Pops for Champagne.
I prefer Malnati's for deep-dish pizza in that area.
Purple Pig is terrific for late-night eats.
