Noodle & Noodle, Pasadena

This is a new restaurant in the old space of Nine & Nine Thai (they have moved west to the corner space). The same people who run N&N run this place. I went yesterday and ordered the Ramen with Crispy Pork. It came with the Tonkatsu broth (and all the additions mentioned under the "Ramen" section). I had them omit the fishcake and seaweed. It was MAGNIFICENT! The seasoned egg was half a hardboiled egg that had this sweet/savory flavor. Absolutely sublime.
I have no ramen experience, but this was absolutely delicious to me and I forsee many, many future visits. Convenient that it is a few blocks from work. They also serve Pho, which I will be trying soon.

I'm sorry, but this place sucks. And it's also overpriced.

It's not even worth mentioning on Chowhound.

If a hound finds a restuarant they like, it's worth mentioning, imho.

Really? Where would you rave about it, then?

I haven't been, but some like Pasadena Noodle & Grill. Of course, it's not so close to your work.

Thanks! I have been there - once. Not impressed with the Pho Tai, which is what I ordered. Did not try anything else on the menu, though.

tried the pho pretty much when they opened. i'd skip it. didn't bother to try the ramen after being disappointed with the pho.
