I need a casual yet yummy rec near the Horseshoe on a Monday night before a show. Any thoughts?
Jules Bistro, Strada 241, Tutti Matti, Yuzu, Shanghai Cowgirl (haven't been for a while, has anyone been to Shanghai Cowgirl recently?) and Khao San Road are also relatively close.

Banh mi Boys.
Seconded. There are other places around there, sure, but really... this is the one you want to go to.
It's that good? A sandwich shop? OK I will try it...going Monday evening.Thanks.
Banh Mi Boys was arguably one of the biggest Toronto food success stories last year. You've never heard?
Also, you did say casual was a requirement. Banh Mi Boys is most certainly that.
Sure I have heard of Banh Mi but have not gone. I will on Monday....BTW.....are they licensed?
Hmm, I can't recall! Sorry. Maybe someone here knows....?
I don't think they are
Not licensed. Must haves for me: fried chicken bao and kimchi fries (don't knock 'em until you've tried them).
Kimchi fries with tofu rule.
My fave is still the meatball banh mi :)
+1 Kimchi fries with tofu
Also must try the chicken taco!!
Kimchi fries with pulled pork is significantly awesome for carnivores! They smoke their pork in house.
Their smoked pork is better than most BBQ places I've been to. Crazy.
Yes, it is!
It's a fast-food set-up, tho quite pleasant with a seating area and everything. You'll be in 'n' out in 25 minutes. If you're looking for cheap beer, go next door to the Cameron.
Great rec's all Thanks !!
