In my opinion, always pack a jacket, especially when going to a 3 star restaurant.

Don't know about the the Astrance specific.

Agree with Maximilien. Bring a navy blazer, you'll feel more comfortable, and concerns about being underdressed will disappear.

Agree with Max (how are you BTW?) and Greg.
You must have a light-weight unstructured blue jacket that the unknowing would take for haute gamme. And with a black tee-shirt and 3-day beard, clutching a bundle that could be your Cesar, they'll take you for paparazzi-material.

The "how are you?" is intended for me or Greg ?

When there did not wear a sport coat, would say 1/3 was without, would wear one if l went again. You just feel and look better.

A jacket is such a part of the hip and/or trendy Parisien uniform that it will be useful for all sorts of occasions, not just l'Astrance.

And let me share my mother's advice: "Pack light, buy heavy". After all, Paris is a fashion capital for men as well as women.

I like that. Sounds like my wonderful wife.

"Pack light, buy heavy". Great line; thanks. I'm still working on the first part.

Yes, wear a jacket. Do you "have to" at L'Astrance? For lunch, no; for dinner, you really should.
