Qdoba Logo

I went to Qdoba for dinner today. Has anyone ever noticed the the Q in their logo kind of looks like the Hammer And Sickle from the former Soviet Union. I'll try to post a link but I tend to mess it up.

      1. Cold War is over, let it go. (Don't see it either)

        1. I actually was going to come on here and say you were nuts, but I do see it!

Here's a better side by side.

I see you were going to say the OP was nuts......and I would agree however that might be deemed inappropriate so I'll just say......Nope still don't see it.

On a different note ttoommyy I've seen many of your posts and was wondering is your handle suppose to be Tommy 2x's? (character from one of my all time favorite movies??)

                  I am verbose, aren't I? :)

No, it's not. tommy was taken and I was too lazy to come up with something else, so I doubled all the letters, except for the "mm" which was doubled already.

To what movie are you referring?

                  1. re: ttoommyy

I'm now embarrassed to say the character I was referencing was actually "Jimmy two times" from Goodfella's. I just Googled it and realized I had the wrong name! LOL oh well now I really know that's not who you were mimicking!

              2. Looks more like a mortar and pestle to me.
                Or a wavy arm guy.

I see the wavy arm guy. I sort of see the mortar and pestle. The white part in the Q is the Mortar, (hammer?) and the black part defines it.

To me the open part of the circle of the Q makes it look a little like a Sickle. To the similarity is just a coincidence. I'm not Colonel Flagg from M*A*S*H.

                  1. re: syrup09

I don't think anyone is saying it's purposely done and that there is a Soviet connection, but just as you said, it's a coincidence.

                2. The way that crap tastes it may as well be from Russia.

Why do you assume Russian food is "crap?"

"Its amazing you see '''''''''''that and try to get everyone involved in your conspiracy theory."

No one is saying anything like that; it's a coincidence. That's all. I work with graphics all day and after a while one starts to see similarities in shapes, colors, etc.

Edited: Sorry. This was supposed to be in response to Locutus, not mrbigshotno.1.

                    2. Its amazing you see '''''''''''that and try to get everyone involved in your conspiracy theory.
Here is your sign and tin-foil hat

                      1. No way Jose... oh sorry... Iosif. (actually, it's "Иосиф").

                        1. As long as we're talking logo's, look at KFC's and tell me the tie under his over-inflated head doesn't seem to resemble a body, like a stick figure. Once you see the KFC colonel stick figure man, you can never look at that logo in the same light.

                          1. No. It's a Q. A stylized, hand-drawn Q.

It looks nothing like a "hammer and sickle".
