Yummy Burgers?
I'll be working an event in the city tomorrow and will be finished around 1:30. I'm sure I'll be hungry after and I'd like to try one of the less ordinary burgers, or Pat LaFrieda mixtures.
What would people suggest? I was thinking either Union Square Cafe, ABC Kitchen, The Dutch or Spotted Pig. Any other suggestions? I've already had the burger at Gramercy Tavern, Five Napkin Burger, Minetta Tavern, 21 Club and Burger Joint.

I ended up trying The Spotted Pig. It was yummy, but just good and not exceptional. I ordered it medium rare and it came out a bit more cooked than I'd have liked, tho still pink. I also thought that while the cheese worked well with the burger, it was a bit overpowering. Even after scraping off the cheese, t he meat still had an aftertaste of that powerful cheese.

Spotted Pig is my personal favorite.
Another burger that's delicious: the burger served in the lobby at the Ace Hotel (from the Breslin kitchen). It's a LaFrieda beef blend and is just an excellent standard burger.
I also like the burgers at Corner Bistro in the West Village, if you want something traditional and "pub-style".

The lamb burger at the Breslin is excellent, and the thrice-cooked fries rock. The cheeseburger at Black Market on Ave. A is great too: maybe a bit overly salted, but juicy & beefy. Fries are meh.
