Lunch in Upland?

I've been tasked with finding a place where 12 senior citizen ladies can have lunch prior to going to a Wednesday matinee at the Grove Theater in Upland. We need a place close to the theater since we are coming up from Orange County in 3 separate cars so recommendations in Glendale, Eagle Rock, Pasadena, etc. aren't going to be very helpful. Any kind of food with the exception of Thai or sushi would be okay.

  1. Nothing I love in the area, but Molly's Souper is a homey, throwback place in an old house. You can either sit inside on the ground floor of the house or in the very nice courtyard. Breakfast is good, not sure how late they serve it, but for lunch it's sandwiches, soup, salads and the like. Cute spot, standard American breakfast and lunch, might be good for senior ladies.

For upscale Italian, Cafe Allegro is pretty good.

Frankly, I can't think of any other places I'd eat in downtown Upland, but I haven't tried all the places, so could very well be missing things.

    1. Agree with Molly's, if the weather is nice enough and they can seat 12 in the courtyard. Aria on 2nd street would be a bit more upscale, Italian with seafood and lots of good choices, the spinach salad is terrific and they do a nice Caesar with salmon at lunch.
