Heading into the city next weekend. Looking for any oyster on the half shell specials. Are there any "happy hour" or other deals?

Marliave in Downtown Crossing has $1 oysters every single day from 4-6pm... great oysters, good shucking, and great drinks & food as well. If it's warm their patio is amazing. Don't tell too many people ;)

Cognac Bistro in Brookline serves bluepoint oysters for $1 each every day of the week, until they run out. I've only been unable to get them twice out of dozens of visits, both times on busy Saturday nights.

Edit: just realized you were here a couple of weeks ago. But I'll leave the post in case anyone else is looking for oyster specials.

Many thanks. I saw this link awhile back but was not sure if they or any others were still happening.
...I live in MA so I'm aware of the no "happy hour" policy.
I'm only a few miles from NY so we visit there once in awhile.
As a senior citizen I would like to see it return but understand the reasoning.

A little searching goes a long way, this link is a couple months old but you can check call or check out the places web pages to see if they are still doing them. It's against the law in Boston to have "happy hour", but we still have some discounted appetizers.
