Remember those box mix date bars?

Maybe they were Betty Crocker...there was an oatmeal crumble bottom crust, then the date filling and more crumble-crust on top.

I'd kill for a similar recipe.

It's nothing. If you lived in my corner of Massachusetts I'd invite myself over and bring coffee for those date bars of yours. Good weather for those---nice idea you had.
