New Union Sq place?

Would someone plse remind me- what chef is opening a second place>>in Union Sq on the parking lot by The Independent? btw, lots of construction at The Indep. today, in the entry and on the right side. Anyone know what that's about? and how has their food been lately?
Wonder if it's anywhere near as good as Lord Hobo was the other night. thx much.

I think they are putting in a small outdoor seating area in front of the Inde. At least that's what a waiter told me last summer. I'm surprised it took this long - I think he had mentioned that they got all the approvals then. I think he also said they would be taking out a few parking spaces out front in order to do the construction. We'll see. Looking forward to Bronwyn!

That is smart for them. I'm also really excited about Bronwyn. But where can someone park now?

Hmmm - as far as I know they are only getting rid of one or two parking spaces so the rest of that lot in front should be fair game. There is also a decent amount of parking through town and on Bow Street.

The Independent closed for three days this week to make some renovations.

From their Facebook page: "we will be closed on Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday this week. We will be making some repairs and much needed improvements to our space."

It's the TW Food couple and will be named after the wife, Bronwyn. Central and Eastern European food.

Haven't had the Indo food lately....
