Legit Korean BBQ in NOLA!
I had just sorta givin' up on this. I'm a transplant from Southern California, so I was used to having top notch food when I ate at Koreatown in Los Angeles. I've been in NOLA for about 5 years craving it. I've never been to Korea House in Metairie, because everyone told me that I would be disappointed. The place I've been hoping for has arrived. It's Little Korea at 3301 S. Claiborne Ave. One block upriver from Washington Ave. They just opened in June. I haven't had a true Korean meal like that in over 5 years. So fresh and the flavors were fantastic. They also have the option of self grilling. It's nice to know that I can go to a restaurant, not just to fulfill a fix, but to eat a truly great meal.

I don't know why, but the idea of self-grilling strikes me as a real pain in the butt. I take it, not so?

re: sanglier
The Mongolian hot-pot/fondu idea is not for everyone. Going out for a meal is at least part for the fact that someone else is doing the work. While I enjoy cooking there are times I feel like sitting and being fed. So I go to a restaurant.
We have serve yourself, cook yourself, can the next big thing be prep yourself? :-)
