With the long time chef of Clancy's leaving to open Annunciation, is Clancy's still as good as it used to be?

  1. I go back to the Founding Days and have seen quite a few cooks go through there..never encountered a problem. The classic stuff doesn't need a soi-disant creative genius.

    1. Just returned from a trip to NO and went to Clancy's for dinner.
Thought the service and food quality were excellent. Their wine list is exceptional especially Burgundies at value prices. It is classic creole cooking nothing pushing culinary boundaries but done excellently. Try to eat in the downstairs main room. When we were leaving around 9:30 all the very younger crowd was just arriving. Just did not seem to be a place the 20's crowd with to go cups in hand would come to for late dinner. Must be doing it right to attract the multi-generational crowd.
