Milano Market, Forest Whitaker, and Yelp
Just saw this article on Forest Whitaker being patted down at Milano Market in Manhattan, and I couldn't help it, but the first thing I thought of was how many people had trashed the place on Yelp, which has happened several times recently for other places:
I have never been to this place, but find it hard to understand why everyone there should be labeled a racist because of one employee's misdeeds, and then for people to jump on Yelp to try to "bring the place down."
stunningly poor judgement by one employee does not equal a racist establishment. I think the owner did the right thing by firing that employee... and it would have been the correct thing to do even if the offended patron wasn't famous.
Even worse, people are posting these "reviews" to a different place with the same name as well.
