hike-in beer bars

Hi there --

I'm wondering if anyone knows of any brewpubs or breweries around the country/world that you can reach via hike? Something along the lines of the Tourist Club Nature Friends in Marin.

The Long Trail in Vt gets pretty close to the town of Waterbury where Black Back pub, Prohibition Pig, and Reservoir serve craftbeer. Beer geek favorites by the Alchemist, Hill Farmstead, and Lawson's Finest can be found on tap.

Assemble in Richmond CA is right on the Bay Trail and claims to have Craft Beers. Though a Restaurant rather than a Beer Bar and a very Urban Landscape hike I thought I would mention it.

Well since you mention Marin, you are probably familiar with Iron Springs Pub & Brewery which is actually located right on the Marin County Bike Route 20. Have seen quite a few bike riders come in there for a stop on their journey gear and all. Although you can also access by car so not sure if it really qualifies for what you are looking for.

You might also check out www.urbanbeerhikes.com which is a blog dedicated to "beer hiking" although in this case as noted they tend to be all urban "hikes".

Yes -- head for England -- there are some amazing pubs with amazing views along walking/hiking trails -- look in particular here: http://www.maccinfo.com/cat/cat1.html

the Peaks district, where this is located, is one of the most beautiful corners of the world, with hundreds of miles of hiking trails, wonderful stone pubs with great food and ale, and picturesque villages and towns. One of my favorite places in the world, hands down.
