Old School Monty's in Woodland Hills, cutting bone in everything
Monty's has become a stand by, always serving affordable steaks, cut and aged in house on a piping hot plate. Placing a few Shrimp Monty beside a bone in ribeye is just about gangster perfect. I love the way they serve straight up, not hiding the cut amongst sauces and such. Nice wine list, decent beers and if you want to really delve in, maybe the strongest drinks in LA. Lunch crowd is small and weekday dinners are doable, but prepare on the weekend for all the Valley to join. I'm also quickly becoming a fan of Brandywine on Ventura and Jims Fallbrook for a weekend BBQ or butcher for take home.
