Help me narrow down Paris choices for May 2013

  • 4

We would like to stay within walking distance of our rental apartment (Rue de Grenelle & Blvd Raspail)

We are mother and daughter (21) with somewhat adventerous taste, looking for good value food. We compiled a long list of places, please help us narrow this down. We don't really plan to cook much - will do breakfast in the apt., lunch near our sightseeing, and want to do dinner close to the apt. Thanks!

  1. I went to Jacques Genin. They do good hot chocolate there, too. Only order one between two, they're very rich. They serve iced water with them and a small taster of chocolates.

    1. I'm not quite sure what differentiates CAP'D ones but here goes - in some sort of rank order:
      CHEZ L'AMI JEAN
      Le Regalade (both)
Le Comptoir (I assume you mean de Relais)
      H. Kitchen
Le Severo (or the Bis de)
Chez Denise (aka La Tour de Montlhéry)
      FISH (la boisonnerie)
      Semilla
      Reed (Catherine I assume)
      Cafe Constant
      Josephine AKA Chez Dumonet
      RELAIS DE L'ENTRECÔTE
      Laduree for breakfast or take-out
Never been to Gusto Italia sorry

Thanks John! The capitals are the ones my DD found. Which would you suggest for Saturday night reservation? Not sure if we will dine in on Sunday, as there is supposed to be a nice market near us. Thinking we will do the roast chicken and frites take out - any particular place near us? Really appreciate your help.

"chicken and frites take out - any particular place near us"
No idea; I live way on the other side of town. But there's a thread on roast/rotisseried chickens down a bit.
As for Saturday night, best to run through your list thru Google and see each one's opening/closing days.
