Pasquini's, Live Oak, CA

We went to Pasquini’s in Live Oak today. We had the calamari appetizer which was delicious. It was surprisingly ungreasy and not chewy. Dinners all come with a house salad, but for $2 more you can get a good sized Caesar salad or a wedge salad with gorgonzola dressing, tons of crumbles of gorgonzola, and pancetta. (This restaurant treats this wedge salad like Leatherby’s in Sacramento treats ice cream sundaes. HUGE. Jus’ sayin’.) Entrees were also very good. Our table had brined and bricked chicken, lasagna, tortellini with tomato/cheese sauce, and tagliatelli with a sauce made of ground pork, veal, and beef. All were large, delicious and well executed. There was no room for dessert.
