I usually order the shrimp fried rice and add a side of pork chop since I was having so much trouble choosing between the two. Problem solved.

Only problem is their portion is so small. Two orders of shrimp fried rice and two pork chops?

Also, I really like the fried rice at Happy Harbour in City of Industry.

    2. Sea Harbour, Shanghai No. 1 Seafood and DTF all make very good shrimp (or shrimp + other item) fried rice.

      1. Mario's Peruvian on Melrose and Rossmore.

I tried this since it's close to me. Real good, but oily. Have you noticed that?

I found oily to be an issue with many of Mario's dishes. I second ipse's rec.

        2. What about a place in Monterey park?

If you drive into the SGV, perhaps you should consider some other versions of fried rice, particularly those made with egg whites and seafood.

          2. How about a recipe and hints for making this at home ?

Our Home Cooking board http://chowhound.chow.com/boards/31 is a great place to ask that sort of question. We hope you post there!

            2. I took home shrimp fried rice from Krua Siri Thai last night and though it was quite good. Fairly basic, with large shrimp. Hit the spot.

[I have been craving a good SFR every since you posted this query weeks ago.]
