If this is for tomorrow it might be hard to get a reservation, but try Barbuzzo. Lively atmosphere, good mediterranean small plates. Right down the block, Zavino is similar small, lively atmosphere for artisan pizza. Pizza oven in view. They don't take reservations and the wait may not be bad early.
