I-78 food

We're meeting friends along I-78 this weekend and were hoping to find a decent place to eat. We're coming from NJ, they're coming from Allentown. Our main requirement is that the place have a good beer selection. Any suggestions? Thanks!

A little closer to NJ, and about the best beer selection you will find is Porters Pub in Easton. It's not a brewery, so the selection includes lots of great imports. When I went to college it was THE place to go. But I'm relatively old (pre-Breworks, but not by much). Website makes it look exactly as I remember with the same extensive beer list, but I can't vouch for the food anymore. Yelp reviews are still pretty good, for the most part.

Hmmm... wonder if the mugs are still there from almost 20 yrs. ago....

If you really like beer, the Weyerbacher brewery is located in Easton as well. No food, but visit, sample and shop on Saturday afternoons until 3 p.m.

I also like the Farmhouse in Emmaus, as well as Pearly Bakers in Easton, and there is a new brewpub in Easton as well two rivers. They are not brewing yet but they have a nice selection of guest beers on tap.

Not sure how close you want to be to Allentown but the Bethlehem Breworks is a good choice.

I went to school near there and frequented Bethlehem Breworks, and I have to agree with cwdonald - I always enjoyed the food and drink. Even now, when I rarely return, I often stop in BB for a meal.
